Context:
- Development of a numerical continuous casting model simulating the cooling of liquid steel into a solid cylindrical bar without interruption.
Activities:
- Development of several modules of the quenching model in C++
- Implementation of the numerical scheme for solving the heat equation in order to calculate the evolution of the temperature field in the steel
- Integration of the temperature measurements into a statistical model to generate an exchange coefficient between the steel and the water
- Integration of the quenching model into a server to manage calculation requests and model responses

- The new C++ continuous casting model fully meets the initial expectations
